The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion--to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. -Isaiah 61:1-3The Ministry of Deliverance is a healing ministry. Just as Christ ministered the Word, prayed and healed people when he walked on the earth, the Ministry of Deliverance believes that all believers need deliverance so that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, men and women can be healed spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
The deliverance process fosters sanctification, so that believers can reach their highest potential in God and can be liberated to function freely in their gifts and callings. As such, the intent of this ministry is to pray deliverance over the lives of believers until they are transformed and empowered to do the will and work of God.
