We meet Thursdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Room 2.

 

 

We live in a city where we can meet people from many Spanish speaking countries.  It is the vision of our pastor and this ministry, with God’s power, to reach  the Spanish community.  Jesus said: “go and preach the Gospel of the Good News to every creature…: as we obey His command and go, we desire to demonstrate the love of God to those that still have not received this unconditional love.   This fellowship comes together on Sundays and Tuesdays.  We love to express our love to God by singing, praying and  studying His Word.  These gatherings give us the opportunity to know each other a little better and make good friends, (some of us know each other for as long as 20 years or more).  We are a family within a family who love the Lord and are dedicated to show others who Jesus is!

The Vessels of Honor Ministry is to inspire the women of God in a special way. Many women are intimidated by their past, their circumstances or by the erroneous belief that because they are women, they are destined to a life of subservient existence. 

 

The Highland church Tutoring Program was birthed in a vision to see all children excel academically to their full potential, by supporting them academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

 

Our Youth ministry is called Joshua's Generaion becasue we are called to be stong, courageous, and firm.  We want to see young people driven into their purpose in Christ. 

Our vision is to evangelize and bring forth the Word of God to those who are lost, through a language that we can understand.  We serve by producing videos, graphics, animations and other media types for use in our worship experience throughout our church. Catechism classes are religious classes of biblical doctrine, the children learn about the love of Jesus by exploring Bible stories in both the Old and New Testament. 

 

The classes are divided into age-appropriate groups and taught by Minister Mary Daniels along with other caring teachers. There are questions and answer sessions, skits, multimedia learning tools and other interactive ways to commit God’s Word to memory. Membership is not required to attend classes.  Classes are offered after school twice a week for ages 7 – 12 on Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays for ages 13 – up from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Highland Church is dedicated to helping strengthen your family!  In this section we will try to offer helpful resources to build strong marriage and parent-child relationships.

 

The Children's ministry is dedicated to laying spiritual foundations for the young by teaching them the truths and importance of God's Word, the Bible.  Using age/grade appropriate material, children are encouraged to love and obey God, accept Christ as Savior ad grow in their faith.  The Ministry is comprised of three departments.

 

 

 

 

The Adult ministries carries out the church's mission to adults.  Adult ministries gives special attention to the needs of men and women 24 years of age and older.
