Intercessory Prayer
Spiritual growth is impossible apart from the practice of prayer. Just as the key to enhanced relationships with other people is time spent in communication, so the key to a growing relationship with the personal God of heaven and earth is time invested in speaking to Him in prayer and listening to His voice in Scripture.
God continuously draws His people (personally and churchwide) to prayer. He alone fully understands the power He has given to His people in prayer. As we obey the call to prayer, the Holy Spirit works in and with us. The mighty working power of God is released. We see the Lord of Hosts, in the manifestation and demonstration of His power. People, places, and things are changed.
The promise we found in II Chronicles 7:14 is very clear, it is a call to prayer, to repentance and it is a call for the Body of Christ to humble ourselves. This kind of humbleness is not only toward the Lord but to one another. There is a need for us to pray for one another in the Spirit of the Lord. For He loves us and knows what’s in our hearts and only He Himself can birth forth the prayer for the need of an individual, a nation or a church that can be answered only by Him.
The call to prayer for every believer in scripture is very clear, His Spirit is calling the Bride to pray. What’s stopping you from heeding to His call? Just as in Charles Finney’s case, it really does not matter if you know what to say or not. What really matters is your total surrender to the Lord. Turn your complaints into prayers today. The power of the Holy Spirit is in store for you. Romans 8:26 assures us that The Holy Spirit will help and show us how to pray for the saints. But He can only do it if we surrender our life to Him. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered.
The church Prayer Tower is available for prayer during normal office hours. The Prayer team lead by Minister Silvia Jimenez meets every Friday from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM in the Prayer Tower. All are welcome to attend.
