Every time we approach Christmas or Easter, we come across the media’s articles response to our faith. Their headlines would usually

state something like. “Jesus never existed” or “Bible Scholar Denies Jesus “Virgin Birth ““Jesus Resurrection a Hoax.” After what

Mel Gibson went through “Passion of the Christ”, it would appear that we need the permission of every liberal, modernist, godless

or hater of Christ for their permission to talk about the facets of our holy faith!

 

Someone said that there are lot of Doubting Thomas’s around. Like Thomas, not having seen the resurrected Lord Jesus with there

very own eyes, the critics and media refuse to believe that Jesus rose from the dead. So they explain his resurrection as a myth –

nothing more than a fabricated story. But while many of the media moguls possess Thomas’.intitial skepticism, they lack Thomas’ latter

faith. Unfortunately many of them will refuse to believe the simple historical truth if even the truth was revealed to them. The media’s

denial of Jesus’ resurrection is nothing new. Skeptics like them, have been denying the resurrection of Jesus since the day he rose from

the dead. And we must ignore them as those early disciples did or contend with the skeptical media of today as Paul did at the

Aeropauses in Athens.

 

The rank and file of unbelievers today, whose views are published in the media’s articles, is no different from those who preceded them.

But the fact of the matter is that Christ is one that the world throughout the centuries could not and cannot ignore. And despite all the

attacks and media bias, Christianity is alive and growing. Christ is risen and that was the central truth of the apostles’ preaching and still is!

He arose and that was and still is the stimulus to the miraculous growth of the church. Christ is raised and that was the powerful force

which spread the gospel across the face of the earth then and even now is. “HE IS RISEN INDEED HE IS RISEN!” And that was the

victorious cry of the early Christian and is still the short of the last day church!

 

Jesus rose from the grave; we know it to be a fact. We know it because we have the testimony of the disciples who saw him and were

willing to die for their conviction. Ten of the twelve apostles died a martyr’s death. Precaution and depth were the sentence of the

disciples who refuse to deny Him. Would be willing to die for something that you knew was not true? At the last minute you will renounce

your faith to save your skin. But they didn’t. Why? Because they knew Jesus rose from the grave.  Then we have the testimony of the 500. 1Corinthian 15: 6. And we have the testimony of Josephus, a Jewish historian (c. 93 A.D. Antiquities of the Jews, chapter 111,

and section 3). 

 

The resection of Jesus Christ is one of the absolute foundations of the Christian faith in Christianity we don’t have a dead savior but

a living savior and Lord who has conquered death. The central of the resurrection is Christianity is clear in acts; whenever the apostle

preached about Jesus, they preached about his resurrection.   Inspire of the media’s article which deny that Jesus rose from the dead

His resurrection is a historical fact Thomas testimony is solid evidence of it the unbeliever of Thomas turned to “My Lord and my God.”

And this is why we stand to proclaim “he is our Lord and our God This risen Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of two billion across

the globe.

    

So at the turn of this 21^st century we boldly declare to you, that though death has its bony fingers on our Lord, it could not keep

him in his grasp. Not all the devils and demons in the entire universe or all who hates God and his Christ could keep him in the grave.

He arose on the third day, and when he did Jesus defeated death, hell and the grave. And as the bible blat linty puts it HE AROSE!”

That settles it. And we do not need anyone permission to believe, proclaim and publish it Hallelujah, He is lord. Amen.
