The Chaplaincy Ministry is made up of volunteers who are bridge builders. They are individuals committed to the care and support of the Highland family and others in our community. We visit nursing homes, hospital and those who are ill and homebound. We give moral support to grieving families through prayer, visitaion and telephones calls. The ministry even assists with shopping and doctor visits.
Anyone interested in joining the Chaplaincy Ministry should have some knowledge of the programs and services available at the Church. They must attend volunteer meetings as scheduled, complete a Basic believers class, be water baptized and have a servants heart.
Along with teaching on prayer, we provide training on how to administer Communion and how to relate to someone who is ill.
