We see this church as more than an organization, it is a living organism and more than that, it is a family. A reconciled family, committed to reconciling the world around us to God our Father and to one another.
Our goal is to bring glory to God and by faith we see the Highland family walking that path by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the holy determination of every member of this family. Located in Jamaica Queens, New York, we are known for miles around as the “friendly church on the hill.” Our church never closes, and we work hard to keep our doors and hearts open for you.

Q. What type of church is Highland?
A. Highland Church is non-denominational and comes out of the Southern Baptist Convention. We are Evangelical in our doctrine but charismatic in our worship. Our motto is "The Spirit Anointing the Word". We are focused on making a positive impact upon the borough of Queens by creating a citywide family center where all individuals and families can grow in faith and discover God's plan for their lives. A. Come as you are! The dress ranges from casual to professional.

A. Highland Church is located between Parsons Blvd. and 162nd Street in Jamaica, New York, just 1 block north of Hillside Avenue, and across from Hillcrest High School. (click here for directions and a map.)

A. If you attend services regularly and attend a membership class given throughout the year, then you are considered a member.

A. Yes we do, for the moment this service is only offered at our 10:30 a.m. gathering. We encourage parents who have children in the nursery to help out as much as they can. Each volunteer gets a free copy of the service on CD. Click
