Q. What type of church is Highland?
A. Highland Church is non-denominational and comes out of the Southern Baptist Convention. We are Evangelical in our doctrine but charismatic in our worship. Our motto is "The Spirit Anointing the Word". We are focused on making a positive impact upon the borough of Queens by creating a citywide family center where all individuals and families can grow in faith and discover God's plan for their lives. We are also dedicated to serve as a worldwide Christian outreach with missions in London, India, Florida and North Carolina. (Click here for what we believe.)
Q. What is appropriate to wear to church? A. Come as you are! The dress ranges from casual to professional.
Q. How do I get to the church
A. Highland Church is located between Parsons Blvd. and 162nd Street in Jamaica, New York, just 1 block north of Hillside Avenue, and across from Hillcrest High School. (click here for directions and a map.)
Q. How do you become a member of Highland Church?
A. If you attend services regularly and attend a membership class given throughout the year, then you are considered a member.
